Huntington city attorney arrested on DUI charge
HUNTINGTON — Huntington city attorney Scott McClure was arrested early Thursday on charges of first-offense DUI.
The arrest occurred in Huntington, but further details were not immediately available Friday morning. He was arraigned early Thursday and released on bond.
Mayor Kim Wolfe said he is aware of the arrest and expects the case to be treated fairly.
“I understand the officers handled it professionally, just like they would any other arrest,” Wolfe said. “I can’t say much more because it’s a personnel matter, but we’re going to handle it like any other case. We’re not pre-judging anything. We’ll let the system work.”
McClure has been the city attorney since January 2005. He previously served as assistant city attorney for six years.
