Cincinnati combo repeat as world champions of cornhole
PORTSMOUTH, Ohio — Theo Baca and RJ Strange of Cincinnati retained the World Championship of Cornhole in Portsmouth, Ohio, on Saturday.
Baca and Strange, also known as the Bombers, defeated Pair of Shorts (Sean and Delbert Short) by two points in the final match to retain their title.
As winners of this year’s event, the pair took home a prize package that included $1,000 in cash and championship belts.
Third place went to the father/son combo of Bill Sobleski Sr. and Bill Sobleski Jr. of Akron, Ohio. Nearly 120 teams from seven states played in the tournament, which was held in downtown Portsmouth.
All of the proceeds from the event went to the Ohio River Valley Chapter of the American Red Cross.
