Cabell’s middle schools add cross country
Cabell County’s middle schools have added cross country to its roster of fall sports. Students who are interested in competing are invited to a clinic being hosted by Cabell Midland High School at 6:30 p.m. Tuesday, July 29.
Both high school coaching staffs will be on hand, as well as the new middle school coaches, to talk about the sport. Cross country has no limitation on participation, so athletes will get to compete in every meet.
The middle school coaches also will use the time to talk about the upcoming season, which begins with practice Aug. 4.
The coaches are: Pat Riley and Emily Riley, Barboursville; Justin Cox, Enslow; Buddy Chapman, Huntington; Don Pace and Julie Sheils, Beverly Hills; and Micky Grass and Robin Rogers, Milton.
