West Virginia clothing vouchers accepted at mall stores
HUNTINGTON — Clothing vouchers for low-income, school-aged children have been distributed and will be accepted at several stores in the Huntington Mall.
In mid-July, the annual Temporary Assistance for Needy Families School Clothing Allowance vouchers of $100 and $200 were distributed. Some of the participating retailers at the Huntington Mall are Steve and Barry’s, Elder-Beerman, JCPenney, Sears, Buckle, Deb, Kids Foot Locker, Foot Locker and Lady’s Footlocker, The Shoe Department and Old Navy.
Applications for the vouchers are being taken from families through Thursday, July 31. Apply at www.wvinroads.org and review the benefits that are offered by West Virginia.
Some of the items that can be purchased with the vouchers include belts, blouses, boots, bowties, caps, coats, dresses, ear muffs, gloves, handkerchiefs, hats, hosiery, insoles, jackets, jeans, mittens, neckties, pants, piece goods, raincoats, shirts, shoes, shoestrings, shorts, skirts, slacks, socks, suspenders, sweaters, tennis shoes, vests and underclothes such as panties, bras, briefs, under shorts, T-shirts and slips.
