MILTON — A 75-year-old man, Frank Linville, has been identified as the man who died in an early morning fire Monday north of Milton.

The identification was released Monday afternoon by the state Fire Marshal's Office.

The man’s wife, the home’s only other resident, escaped uninjured, according to Taylor. The man's name has not been released as of 7:30 a.m.

The fire was at a farm house on Dry Ridge Road, north of Interstate-64. Emergency dispatchers said the call came in just after 4 a.m. Monday.

Taylor said the home was about 80 percent engulfed in flames when crews arrived on the scene. Taylor did not release a cause or place of origin of the fire. The State Fire Marshal’s office is investigating.
