Prevention meeting to be held in Culloden
CULLODEN — Anyone interested in health and prevention is invited to attend a semi-annual meeting hosted by the West Virginia Prevention Resource Center from 9:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 4.
The meeting is scheduled to take place at the Tabernacle of Praise Church of God in Culloden. It will serve healthcare providers, health educators, social workers, church leaders, prevention specialist, and special service personnel in Cabell, Putnam, Wayne, Kanawha, Clay, Boone, Mason, Jackson, Roane, Mingo, Lincoln, and Logan counties.
Lunch and a light breakfast will be provided, along with door prizes. Participants are asked to bring information for the resource table and any door prizes they might have.
Anyone interested in attending should contact their community development specialist or contact Bill O’Dell at 304-553-1186.
Currently scheduled discussions include oral and overall health, teen institute, Valley Health services, and Head Start initiatives.
Three other discussion slots are currently open.
