HUNTINGTON — Cabell County Commissioners have approved a $20,000 allocation which could help expand the Solid Waste Authority's recycling program, but they also want other local governments to kick in more money.

Commissioners Nancy Cartmill and Bob Bailey both said they want to see Huntington, Barboursville and Milton city councils increase their allocations to the program.

"This request is four times the amount (given last year), which is a large increase," said Cartmill, president of the commission. "I just want to make sure the other entities pay their share."
