Sobonya receives leadership award

CHARLESTON -- State Del. Kelli Sobonya, R-Cabell, received the LEAD Legislative Leadership Proclamation Award during the 2008 Legislative Session, according to a press release issued by the delegate.

The award committee represents statewide labor and management law enforcement associations such as the West Virginia Troopers Association, West Virginia Sheriffs Association, West Virginia State Fraternal Order of Police, West Virginia Chiefs of Police, West Virginia Conservation Officers Association, and the West Virginia Deputy Sheriffs Association.

"I am honored to be given this award by those who are on the front line each day protect our West Virginia families," she said in the release.

The award ceremony took place in Charleston during the 21st annual Law Enforcement Appreciation Day on Feb. 25.
