Fireworks accident in Cincinnati suburb hurts two
CINCINNATI — Police say a woman and a 2-year-old girl were hospitalized after a fireworks accident in suburban Cincinnati.
Union Township Fire Chief Stan Deimling says the accident occurred Friday night when a spark fell into a bag of fireworks and caused an explosion at a home near Milford.
He says the woman and girl were hospitalized with second-degree burns but two hospitals said Sunday they could not provide information about their conditions. Deimling says five others were treated at the scene for minor burns.
The township police department says it’s investigating but could not provide the victims’ names.
