HUNTINGTON - Camden Park's annual Children's Festival kicks off on Tuesday, July 2 with an afternoon of family fun planned for the little tykes in mind.

From noon to 4 p.m. Tuesday, and every Tuesday in July, enjoy The Children's Festival which features special live entertainment and interactive attractions.

Kids 48" and under get in for $1.

On Tuesday, enjoy a balloon artist, Aunt Dovie's Petting Farm by Honey Hill Farm Mobile Pony Rides and Petting Zoo. Founded by Sally Powell in 1998, Honey Hill Farm, which is based in Berry, Kentucky (between Cynthiana and Covington), provides petting zoos and pony rides to more than 600 events and four theme parks: Kings Island, Cedar Point, Michigan's Adventure and now Camden Park.

The Camden Park petting zoo offers pony rides as well as the petting of a wide range of animals including silkie chickens, Anglo-Nubian goats, American miniature horses, rabbits, llamas, Shetland sheep and miniature donkeys.

Live music will be provided by the international award-winning Americana singer/songwriter Steve Free Band, which hails from Scioto County, Ohio. Free recently scored another No. 1 song "The Last Train Home," on the The International Americana / Folk Charts for June as repaorted by GTE Music Magazine in Nashville. The Grammy nominated singer/songwriter has charted moerthan 60 songs on the National and International Charts in various genre in his long career. He was named an Official " Ohio Treasure " by The Ohio Arts Council and is a past recipient of the Governor's Award for the Arts.

Later this Fourth of July Week, Camden Park will be hosting three nights of live music with DJ Charlie Brown Superstar on Thursday, July 4, BRATCAMB (Big Rock and The Candy Mountain Boys) on Friday, July 5 and on Saturday, July 6, Americana rockers Flat Tracker.

The CVB has partnered with Heritage Farm, the Huntington Museum of Art, Greater Huntington Park & Recreation District, Camden Park, Beech Fork Lake and other attractions to promote Funington, which offers something for kids and families to do every weekday in June and July.
