HUNTINGTON - The all-time leader in Marshall and Conference USA basketball history has found an NBA home for the summer.

Marshall’s Jon Elmore made an announcement on social media at 1:20 p.m. on Thursday afternoon that he will play in the NBA Summer League with the Boston Celtics.

Elmore finished his Marshall career as the all-time leader in points (2,638) and assists (783) - both numbers which are Conference USA records. Elmore is the only player in NCAA history with 2,500 points and 750 assists.

The Charleston native led Marshall to a Conference USA Championship and the program’s first-ever NCAA Tournament win during the 2017-18 season before capping his record-breaking career by leading the Thundering Herd to a Invitational Tournament title in 2018-19.
