GERALDINE DEMPSEY, 80, of Harts, W.Va., widow of Roy Dempsey, died June 16 at home. She retired form the Southwestern Community Action Council as a Head Start Teacher. FRANCES MARIE DUNCAN, 82, of Accoville, W.Va., widow of James Robert Duncan, died June 16 at home. She was a homemaker. GLENDON LEE GARRETT SR., 65, of Huntington, died June 15 in Cabell Huntington Hospital. He was a retired Mechanic and General Superintendent for the City of Huntington. CAROLYN L. RUTLEDGE LEWIS, 76, of Ironton, mother of Chris Lewis of South Australia, Scott Lewis of Jacksonville, Fla., and Andrea Davis of Ironton, died June 15 in Ashland Community Hospice Care Center. She retired from Department of Job and Family Services. There will be a graveside service, 2:30 p.m. Wednesday, Woodland Cemetery, Ironton. HOWARD ADRIAN MEADOWS II, 74, of Huntington, brother of Roger Meadows, died June 4 in St. Mary’s Medical Center. He was a retired corporate buyer. She was an AEP storeroom clerk, worked at Phillip Sporn and in construction of Mountaineer Plant #1301.
