HUNTINGTON — People Powered Huntington has a full slate of upcoming bicycling, walking and planning events.
Here's a look at the bicycling and walking events coming up this spring with People Powered Huntington - Huntington Bike and Pedestrian Advocacy Coalition.
At 7 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 27, meet up at Ritter Park fountain for a group evening walk. Walk in the Southside where the group will be looking for, and noting any lights that are not working.
At 6 p.m. Tuesday, March 6 at Ed Tucker Architects office. The group will be spending time workshopping the May Bike month activities. Please come with energy to do some planning!
At 6:30 p.m. Friday, March 16, meet up at the Ritter Park fountain for the free monthly bicycle ride Critical Mass Huntington. This flat six mile ride has been once a month since July 2009.
At 6 p.m. Tuesday, March 20, a March Equinox Ride - at Huntington Cycle and Sport, celebrate the days starting to get longer.
At 10 a.m. Saturday, April 7, meet at the Guyandotte Boat Ramp for a WV Make it Shine/ PATH Clean-up. Walking the Paul Ambrose Trail for Health and cleaning the portion between Guyandotte and Altizer.
At 6:30 p.m. Friday, April 20, meet up at the Ritter Park fountain for the free monthly bicycle ride Critical Mass Huntington. This flat six mile ride has been once a month since July 2009.

At 10 a.m. Saturday, May 19, Tour De PATH. A variety of guided bicycle rides on the Paul Ambrose Trail for Health from beginner rides to complete loops of the about 30 mile trail/road loop. Held in partnership with the Sustainability Fair.

Thursday, June 21 - Go Skateboarding Day (Celebrate the Summer Solstice, the longest day of the year) with a special event at the Harris Riverfront Skate Park.
