Huntington City Council Chairwoman Holly Smith Mount and Councilman Todd Sweeney present a $100,000 check to board members of the Huntington Children’s Museum on Monday. The museum purchased the former Shoney’s Restaurant in the West End to be its home.

HUNTINGTON — Two Huntington City Council members have donated a portion of their American Rescue Plan Act funds to the Huntington Children’s Museum.

Council chairwoman Holly Smith Mount and Councilman Todd Sweeney presented a check for $100,000 to the museum’s board members Monday, a City of Huntington press release said.
