HURRICANE, W.Va. — Mayor Scott Edwards was reelected to another term during Hurricane's municipal election Tuesday.

Edwards, who will enter his 13th year in office, received 450 votes. His opponent, James Mabon, received 57 votes, according to unofficial results from Hurricane City Hall.

The mayoral election was the only contested race.

The following people ran unopposed and were elected to City Council — Marshall Ginn, Reggie Billups, Steve Goff, Gerry Spears and Brian Ellis — while Linda Gibson was elected as city recorder.
