HUNTINGTON — Huntington Police are investigating an unattended death in West Huntington after a body was found early Tuesday morning.

A citizen called to report that they had discovered an unresponsive male in the area of 10th Street West and 9th Avenue West, near the site of the former Owens-Illinois plant, now U.S. Equipment, at about 7:25 a.m. Tuesday, Nov. 21.

At this time, details are limited other than the victim appears to be that of a white male, said Bryan Chambers, city communications director, in an email.

The cause of death is undetermined and the investigation is ongoing. More information will be provided as it becomes available, Chambers said.
