HUNTINGTON - Goodwill's Career Center and Employment Services are planning a career expo and resource fair in June to explore employment opportunities and community resources available in the area.

The free event will take place 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Wednesday, June 7, outside at Pullman Square, 220 9th St., Huntington.

In the case of bad weather, the event will be moved indoors at the Pullman Plaza Hotel, Goodwill officials said in a news release.

Goodwill staff members will be on hand to offer application assistance and resume building as well as to discuss one-on-one career counseling, employment preparation courses, work tools and educational and technical skill classes.

Organizers expect to have several employers accepting applications and conducting interviews, as well as tables with information about job and career services assistance, according to the release.

Throughout the event, Goodwill will raffle off two $25 gift cards.

For more information, contact Ashley Shaw, director of career services, or Geoff Layne, director of employment services, at 304-523-7461.
