Briggs Lawrence County Public Library is having Family Movie Nights, LEGO, Toddler Time, and Preschool Storytimes the last week of February into the first of March.

For Family Movie Night, "Coco" will be shown at Ironton on Feb. 27 and at South Point on Feb. 28, both at 4 p.m. The Briggs Calendar of Events states about "Coco," "Aspiring musician Miguel, confronted with his family's ancestral ban on music, enters the Land of the Dead to find his great-great-grandfather, a legendary singer. It is rated PG and is 1 hour and 45 minutes long. Children may bring a pillow and blanket for comfort. Some light snacks will be provided, but you are welcome to bring your own."

Polar Bear Day is Feb. 27, and to enjoy stories or learn more about polar bears, check out these books from Briggs Library: For delightful tales, there are "Polar Bear, Polar Bear, What Do You Hear?" by Bill Martin, Jr., "Polar Bear Night" by Lauren Thompson, "A Splendid Friend Indeed" by Suzanne Bloom, and "The Three Snow Bears" by Jan

Brett. To learn facts about polar bears, in non-fiction there are, "Baby Polar Bears" by Mary Elizabeth Salzmann and "Polar Bears" A New True Book.

March 2 is Read Across America Day to celebrate Dr. Seuss's birthday, so do something awesome with reading! Read to your family or read to someone younger who can't read yet. Read to an older person who no longer is able to read. Or, even Skype to read a friend your favorite storybook. See how many books you can read in one day. Don't have enough books? Go to the library, and check some out.
