IRENE C. HALL, 90, of Huntington, widow of Harvey Hall, died Monday, November 22, 2021, in Wayne Nursing and Rehabilitation. She was born September 27, 1931, in Superior, W.Va., Mingo County, a daughter of the late Russell and Mona Burton Chandler. Irene is preceded in death by a daughter, Diane Gregory Spence; a stepson, Stephen Hall; and a sister, Pauline Dickey. She retired from the Department of Commerce, Census Bureau. Irene was a member of Cross Roads United Methodist Church and when able was very active, was an avid reader, and a graduate of St. Mary’s School of Nursing. Survivors include a son, Adam Stuart Gregory of Huntington; stepdaughter, Connie Sue Collins of Fallsburg, Ky.; stepson, Milton “Mick” Hall and wife Susan Hall of Danville, Va.; son-in-law, Tim Spence and his spouse Judy Spence of Georgia; 14 grandchildren, 31 great-grandchildren, and eight great- great-grandchildren. Graveside service will be conducted 1 p.m. Friday, November, 26, 2021. at the Abbey of Devotion, Ridgelawn Memorial Park, with Rev. Rob Reed officiating. Burial will follow. EVELYN EDWARDS CARPENTER, 89, of Huntington, widow of Robert D. Carpenter, died Nov. 23 at The Woodlands Retirement Community. She was a retired corporate secretary of Klingel-Carpenter Mortuary. TAMMY LYNN PENNINGTON GLASSBURN, 52, of Lancaster, Ohio, formerly of Huntington, wife of Johnny A. Glassburn, died Oct. 31 at home. She was employed with ODW Logistics in Columbus, Ohio. NORMA LOU McCOY WESTFALL, 86, of Huntington, W.Va., formerly of Spencer, W.Va., passed away November 13, 2021, in Cabell Health Care Center, Culloden, W.Va. She was born January 4, 1935, in Spencer, W.Va., and was the daughter of the late Haven R. McCoy and Opal A. Kerby McCoy Miller. She was a 1953 graduate of Spencer High School and Mountain State Business College. Norma was a homemaker. She had attended Central United Methodist Church and Underwood Senior Center, both in Huntington, W.Va. Norma loved her family, God, dogs and books. Left behind to cherish her memory, is her daughter, Jenine Westfall of Spencer, formerly of Huntington; one brother, Robert H. McCoy (Joy) and extended family of Greensboro, N.C.; and one grandson, Joseph St. Clair (Shelley) of Huntington. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Joseph A. Westfall. There will be a family committal service at 2 p.m. Saturday, December 4, 2021, at Gandeeville Cemetery in Roane County, W.Va.
