Richard A. Leffingwell and Punkin Leffingwell

Sixty years ago, on Sept. 8, 1961, the son of Frank and Elizabeth Leffingwell, Richard A. Leffingwell, married the love of his life, Punkin Browning, daughter of Robert Lee and Pearl Browning.

Together they owned and operated Leffingwell decorating services for many years.

They have four children, Linda Leffingwell of Huntington, Richard Leffingwell Jr. and wife Pam of Ohio, Robert “Bob” Leffingwell and wife Rhonda of Huntington, and Vickie J. Carter of Chesapeake. They also have 12 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren who love them dearly.

Richard and Punkin continue to share their life together in Huntington, where they celebrated their 60th-year journey Sept. 8, 2021.
