Oscar's Breakfast, Burgers, & Brews has moved to it's new home in the former location of Christopher's Eats. The newly remodeled restaurant features an expanded bar, an outdoor patio dining area, and a small collection of rock 'n' roll memorabilia.

"In 2017, we decided to leave the franchise that was at our old location before and start our own concept. The name 'Oscar's' came from the family dog who was a boxer. Sadly, he died about six months before the restaurant opened. We decided to put the things we liked on the menu: burgers, beer and an expanded breakfast menu. It really started to take off on us," owner Jason Beter explained. "The problem with the old location is that it was too small. We took possession of this space in mid-March. We spent 10 weeks gutting it and remodeling it. We re-opened on June 2nd."

"We used to have eight beers tap at the old location, it's 28 here. We will also be expanding our menu soon, but we won't be doing anything crazy. We are good at making burgers and making breakfast, so we're going to add some new burgers and new items to the breakfast menu," Beter said. "We have a variety of craft beers on the new taps. We even have partnered Bad Shepherd brewery in Charleston which is brewing a beer called 'Krista Dawn Blonde' which is exclusively for us. It's an easy drinking blond ale. Later in July or early August, we are adding wine to the bar. We have also introduced a cake of the day for deserts. We have a local baker who makes them for us."

Oscar's has a variety of Burgers on their menu including the "Lemmy" ($9) named for the lead singer/bassist of Motorhead the burger features a house made bourbon sauce, mushrooms, pepper jack cheese, onion rings, and hickory smoked bacon. Another option is the "Koerber" ($9) topped with coleslaw, Swiss cheese, and brown mustard. The menu also includes a turkey burger called the "Sleep Burger" ($8) and a veggie burger called "When Vegans Attack" ($9.) There are sandwich options like the "Leviathan" beer battered fish sandwich ($8) and Grilled Chicken Club ($8.) For veggie lovers there are salads including a Cobb Salad ($9) and a Buffalo Ranch Salad ($9.)

Breakfast is served all day. You can choose an omelet like the Mushroom & Swiss ($7) or a breakfast sandwich like"The Tim" with egg, sausage, and cheese on a cheddar & onion bagel ($5.50.) Other breakfast options include a Breakfast Burrito ($5), Verna's French Toast ($7), and Flapjacks ($7.)

"My favorite item on the breakfast menu would be the 'Sasquatch' which comes with eggs, turkey hash, and fried potatoes. I also really like the Pulled Pork Omelet," Beter said.
