HUNTINGTON - Greater Huntington Walks has announced its third quarterly challenge for 2019.

The challenge will be "College Bowl Football Stadiums," which will allow walkers to virtually travel to the sites of 12 major college bowl games, starting with the Rose Bowl in Pasadena, Calif., and ending with the Liberty Bowl in Memphis, Tennessee.

The new challenge began Monday, July 1. All quarterly goal steps will be counted toward the 2019 overall collective goal of 5 million miles.

"The quarterly challenges have been a lot of fun," said Andy Fischer, chairman of the Greater Huntington Walks committee. "With this quarter reaching into the start of football season, we felt this one was extremely appropriate and we look forward to virtually visiting all of the stadiums."

All registered walkers who complete 200,000 steps per month from July to September will be entered into a drawing for a Marshall University Football VIP weekend.
