FAIRLEA, W.Va. - Greenbrier East High School, located in Fairlea, just south of Lewisburg, is 50 years old and alumni have planned a three-day reunion for all graduates as well as former faculty, staff and administration.

The events to celebrate will take place June 27-29.

The main event is a class gathering on the state fairgrounds, with a buffet dinner, a concert by Grammy Award winning, multi-platinum selling country music icon, and a DJ and dancing following the concert.

A complete list of activities along with registration form for the Saturday events can be found at and the deadline is May 17 for registering for the Saturday fairground events. Events for Saturday include a 5K race, an alumni band-lead parade through downtown Lewisburg, and an alumni baseball game. Activities are being added daily.

Greenbrier East opened in the fall of 1968 as a consolidated high school of Alderson, Frankford, Greenbrier of Ronceverte, Lewisburg, Renick, White Sulphur Springs and Williamsburg high schools.
