HUNTINGTON - Readers of all ages take note - there's a new Little Free Library in Huntington's West End.
Enterprise Child Development Center, 2021 W. 5th Ave., now has a Little Free Library for the community's enjoyment.
Unlike other Little Free Libraries in Huntington, this one is made from a newspaper rack donated by The Herald-Dispatch and was painted in fun colors and designs by Enterprise staff member Chris Moody.
No need to put in quarters, the rack is unlocked and the books - for all ages - are free for the borrowing.
There are books for all ages, and the Center will take donations of books and magazines to include as well.
"Reading is just so important at all ages," said Jennifer Conkle, director at Enterprise.
"Everyone should have access to books and we wanted to do our part. We do have a lot of children's books in there but there are books for all ages. We want to thank The Herald-Dispatch for donating the rack as well."
The Herald-Dispatch is happy to run announcements of donations, projects and events designed to give back to our local community.
Send your good deeds to us at firstname.lastname@example.org with the subject line "Giving back." Be sure to identify every person in group photos and include a little information about your organization and where folks can find more information if they want to help.
