CHESAPEAKE, Ohio — The westbound lanes of Ohio 7 west of Chesapeake were closed between Buffalo Creek Road and Tallow Ridge Road due to a rock fall Tuesday, according to the Ohio Department of Transportation.

A boulder dislodged from the road face on the south side of the highway, breaching the barrier and blocking both westbound lanes.

The road was expected to be reopened to traffic by Tuesday evening, according to the release.
