HUNTINGTON - The Huntington Police Department is investigating a suspicious death in the Highlawn neighborhood of Huntington after a body was found at a home.

The presence of an adult body was reported about 9 a.m. Thursday in the 2700 block of Latulle Avenue. Most of the block was closed throughout the day for the investigation.

Huntington Police Chief Joe Ciccarelli said investigators have found no indication of a crime at this point and are not currently seeking any suspects.

No further information would be released until autopsy results were received, Ciccarelli said.

One end of police tape cordoning off the crime scene was attached to a "blessing box" in a neighbor's yard. "Take what you need. Bring what you can" was written on the box, which was full of supplies for the needy.

Neighbors said a family had recently moved out of the home, while others said they had seen a couple unpacking boxes. One individual said they smelled an odor in the neighborhood but thought it was from a deceased animal.

The investigation is ongoing.
