HUNTINGTON - Goodwill Industries of KYOWVA Area plans to offer training Aug. 2 for those wanting to volunteer with its Adult Basic Education/GED program, according to a release.

Goodwill is looking for tutors to assist individuals with basic literacy skills in reading, writing, math and GED preparation.

The free training will be offered from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Aug. 2 in partnership with the Tri-State Literacy Council at the Goodwill Career Center, 1005 Virginia Ave., Huntington.

Lunch and training materials will be provided.

To register to become a certified tutor and attend the free certification training, individuals should contact the Goodwill Career Center at 304-523-7461 or ashaw@goodwillhunting.org.
