HUNTINGTON — Two trees are currently being removed from the courtyard of the Cabell County Courthouse over concerns for public safety.

According to county administrator Beth Thompson, the trees are hollow on the inside and had large limbs falling, which led to the decision to remove them. Another tree was removed from the courthouse property in 2018 for the same reason.
