HUNTINGTON - One of Huntington's newest dining franchises has extended a helping hand to keeping the area fed at any cost.
Hwy 55 of Huntington and Andy's Foundation officially donated $2,000 to the Facing Hunger Foodbank's Backpack Program during a check-passing Wednesday at the restaurant, located at the corner of 3rd Avenue and 8th Street in downtown Huntington.
The Facing Hunger Foodbank's Backpack Program aims to help feed school-aged children in the region, where it states one in four are inadequately fed. The foodbank helps feed approximately 115,000 people in the region annually, its official website states.
