HUNTINGTON — Children learned about bearded dragons, yellow-footed tortoises and boa constrictors during an animal show Wednesday.

The animals were part of a presentation by Gary Bussa, who introduced children to the creatures during his Dr. Des Coveries animal show at Altizer Park in Huntington.

The show was organized by the Cabell County Public Library, which hosted events at Altizer Park, Rotary Park, Ritter Park and West Library on Wednesday. The animal show took place at the Barboursville, Cox Landing, Milton and Salt Rock libraries Tuesday.

Bussa performs at schools, churches, malls and other locations in the area, providing education and entertainment as he teaches people about animals.
