HUNTINGTON - Marshall University's Office of Intercultural Affairs honored students at its semi-annual Donning of the Kente Ceremony on Thursday evening at the Joan C. Edwards Performing Arts Center.

Kente was developed in the 17th century by the Ashanti people of West Africa and is used for special occasions. Each graduate was given a hand-woven cloth to wear with their graduation regalia.
