HUNTINGTON - Mountain Health Network, the health system founded last year to oversee both Cabell Huntington Hospital and St. Mary's Medical Center, has formed its corporate leadership team, according to a news release.

The network is headed by newly hired president and CEO Michael Mullins. Five of the six key leadership appointments come from Cabell Huntington, which acquired St. Mary's last spring:

n Monte Ward, chief financial officer at Cabell Huntington, has been named CFO of Mountain Health.

n Paul English Smith, in-house legal adviser to Cabell Huntington's governing body, management and staff, has been named vice president and general counsel of Mountain Health.

n Dr. Hoyt Burdick, chief medical officer and senior vice president at Cabell Huntington, has been named chief clinical officer of Mountain Health.

n Susan Beth Robinson, vice president of human resources at St. Mary's, has been named chief human resources officer of Mountain Health.

n Lisa Chamberlin Stump, vice president for strategic marketing, planning and business development at Cabell Huntington, has been named chief strategy officer for Mountain Health.

n Dennis Lee, chief information officer for Cabell Huntington, has been named chief information officer for Mountain Health.

The system also announced that "Mountain Health Network Inc." will be its permanent name. Cabell Huntington's board of directors had explored other naming options, but voted on the Mountain Health name at the February meeting.

The system is still in the process of developing a logo and other branding.

Both St. Mary's Medical Center and Cabell Huntington Hospital will maintain their individual identities, including names, logos and colors, while operating under the new health care system, according to the news release.
