IRONTON - An Ironton woman was sentenced to five years in prison Wednesday in Lawrence County Common Pleas Court in a drug case.

Alison M. Lewis, 36, of Private Drive 545, Ironton, was sentenced by Judge Andy Ballard. Lewis was indicted earlier on charges of illegal conveyance of prohibited items onto the grounds of a detention facility, three counts of trafficking in drugs and tampering with evidence. She earlier was charged with four counts of aggravated trafficking in drugs.

In an unrelated case, Eugene Likens, 34, of Holiday Lane, Proctorville, Ohio, was sentenced by Ballard to four years in prison. Likens earlier was charged with escape, tampering with evidence, vandalism, possession of cocaine and possession of heroin.

In other cases:

n William D. Thomas, 42, of the 600 block of Hecla Street, Ironton, admitted violating community control sanctions and was sentenced to four months in prison.

n Gerrica Woodyard, 25, of Township Road 1287, Chesapeake, Ohio, admitted testing positive for drugs, failing to report since last September and failing to complete outpatient drug treatment. Woodyard was ordered to stay on community control sanctions and complete up to a six-month program at the STAR Community Justice Center.

n Angela Depriest, 47, of Township Road 1101E, South Point, Ohio, pleaded guilty to possession of cocaine. She was placed on treatment in lieu of conviction, requiring her to get treatment and stay drug- and alcohol-free for a year.

n Walter W. Brewer II, 53, of County Road 124, Chesapeake, pleaded innocent to improper handling of firearms in a motor vehicle, having weapons while under disability, possession of meth, possession of heroin and possession of fentanyl. Bond was set at $5,000.

n Ryan T. Goodpaster, 20, of Township Road 1611, Proctorville, pleaded innocent to aggravated possession of meth. Bond was set at $2,500.

n Tiffany M. Harbour, 32, of Simpson Drive, Huntington, pleaded innocent to aggravated possession of meth and improper handling of a firearm in a motor vehicle. She was released on a $25,000 signature bond, but was placed on home confinement with an ankle monitor.

n Jennifer R. Chafin, 26, of Shelby, North Carolina, pleaded guilty to aggravated possession of meth. She was released on a $15,000 signature bond.

n Ricky Bare, 61, no address listed, admitted violating community control sanctions by failing to pay $7,914.23 in restitution, $733 in court costs and $340 in supervisory fees. His community control sanctions were continued for another year.

n Zane L. Curry, 30, of the 400 block of 2nd Avenue, Chesapeake, pleaded innocent to four counts of unlawful sexual conduct with a minor. Bond was set at $25,000.
