A taste of fall is arriving for a couple of days before heat returns this weekend.
A cold front crossing early Thursday will bring some unseasonably cool air to our region Thursday, with gusty breezes and clouds and occasional showers into the afternoon. Temperatures will spend much of the day in the 60s, perhaps briefly reaching around 70. The normal for this time of year is in the lower 80s.
We'll start Friday off very cool around 50 with some outlying areas in the 40s! Otherwise the weather looks great to end the week with dry weather and a mix of sun and clouds. Expect low humidity and a high of 77.
A warm front will cross on Saturday and could produce a brief shower or storm as it passes. Otherwise, much of the day looks dry but will turn warmer and muggier in the afternoon as we reach a high of 83.
Sunday will feature warm, muggy weather with scattered showers and storms.
This warmer, unsettled pattern looks to last into the first half of the following week with a daily threat for showers and storms Monday to Wednesday and high temperatures between about 80 to 85 degrees -pretty typical for mid-June.
