Hot, muggy weather with occasional thunderstorms will continue through the 4th of July weekend.

Our 4th of July will look and feel much like the three prior days of July thus far - with temperatures rising to near 90 degrees and soupy humidity. Scattered storms will develop in the heat of the day and could persist into evening in some areas.

Little change is expected through the remainder of the holiday weekend. Friday will feature hazy sun and a high of around 90. Once again, scattered storms are likely to develop.

Hot weather continues into the weekend with highs in the upper 80s to around 90 Saturday and Sunday. Scattered storms are likely both days, especially later Sunday as a cold front approaches. Any storms can produce localized downpours and frequent lightning.

A slightly cooler, less humid airmass may try to build in as we head back to work next week. Temperatures will max out in the mid 80s rather than 90 and humidity will ease off with drier, less stormy afternoons anticipated.
