Hurricane First Church of God invites everyone to Gospel Concert

HURRICANE - The Hurricane First Church of God invites everyone to its monthly, Second-Friday Gospel Concert at 7 p.m. on Sept. 13.

Featured group this month will be The Believer's Quartet. Additional singers will include soloists, Sister Carla James, (Nitro), Pastor Harold Massey, (Culloden), Dorsey Johnson & Peggy Cooper, 1st C.O.G.

Traditional Church Hymns and Southern Gospel Music are featured at the Second Friday concerts. There will be a time of fellowship, refreshments and finger foods after the service.

Handyman Quartet

in concert on Sept. 20

NITRO - The Handyman Quartet will be in concert at 6 p.m. on Friday, Sept. 20, at Nitro Church of God, 2nd Avenue and 15th St., Nitro. There will also be additional special music.

Awana Clubs offered

at Teays Valley Baptist

HURRICANE - Teays Valley Baptist, located at 3926 Teays Valley Road, Hurricane, offers Awana Clubs at 6:45 p.m. Wednesdays. Awana is a national youth ministry reaching boys and girls with the Gospel of Christ. Clubs meet each week throughout the school year on Wednesdays. All handbooks/manuals use the King James Bible only.

n Puggles: 2-year-olds (3-year-olds after July 1 of this year). Must be brought by parent/guardian.

n Cubbies: 3-year-olds (by July 1 of this year) and 4-year-olds. Must be brought by parent/guardian.

n Sparks: Kindergarten (5 years old by July 1 of this club year), first and second grade.

Teays Valley Presbyterian invites all to services
