ASHLAND -- King's Daughters offices, including family care centers, medical specialties offices and the Kentucky Heart Institute, have started implementing MyChart, which offers patients access to their electronic medical records over a private and secure Internet connection.

MyChart allows the viewing of test results, key medical information and messages from your doctor. Additional benefits include the capability to request an appointment, request prescription renewals and opportunity to keep track of your health such as current health issues, medications, allergies and immunizations and medical, surgical and family history.

To participate in the MyChart program, you must be 18 or older, have Internet access and see a participating provider. For patients younger than 18, parents can sign up to receive their child's information.

To sign up, talk to your physician.
