It seems like every year, the utility companies ask for a raise and usually get it. I don’t know all the process in obtaining that raise, but I think first they need to show documents that prove that what they are asking for is legit. Second, I think they ought to show paperwork on what they did with the money from the last raise because we don’t know this.

For them to say, “We need a raise,” how do we know what they use the money for and if this is necessary. There are so many people as myself who are on a fixed income, and with rising cost of medical expenses, groceries, gas and medication, it’s not easy to pay these raises that come along.
