I grew up in Wayne County, in a little place, called Miller's Fork. My grandmother, Laura Davis, had raised me from the time I was 6 months old. My Uncle Cecil (and Aunt Juanita) always found a way to make Christmas special for me; as well as for my brother and sisters. I wanted to say "Thank You" in a special way, so I wrote a letter to The Herald-Dispatch.

My letter was published on Christmas morning. My Aunt Juanita told me that when she awoke Uncle Cecil was sitting in his favorite chair, speechless, reading my letter in the newspaper.

This was my way of saying "Thank You" to two of the most wonderful people that ever were, or ever will be in my life.
