Marshall defensive tackle Jamare Edwards and West Virginia defensive tackle Dante Stills were each named to the 2021 Bronko Nagurski Award Watch List, which denotes the best defensive college football player in America. Stills, a Fairmont native, was also named to the Outland Trophy Watch List for the nation's top interior lineman.

Marshall had five players named to the 2021 Conference USA Preseason Watch List released Monday: quarterback Grant Wells, offensive lineman Alex Mollette, defensive lineman Jamare Edwards, cornerback Steven Gilmore and punt returner Talik Keaton.

Marshall quarterback Grant Wells was named to the 2021 Maxwell Award Watch List, which is given to the nation's top college football player. WVU quarterback Jarret Doege and running back Leddie Brown were also named to the list, released Monday.

After an ankle injury knocked Herd That guard Stevie Browning out of last year's TBT, Browning went to work on his body making sure that no such thing would happen again. The result is Browning losing 25 pounds and getting back to his playing weight from when he was at Marshall.

Ronald Delph is one of the new guys to Herd That for the 2021 year, but he knows all the personnel quite well. Delph, a 7-foot center who played at Florida Atlantic, battle all of Marshall's guys and Herd That teammate JaCorey Williams during Conference USA play from 2015-18.

Marshall University is mourning the loss of a former football player and beloved personality as Jaquan Yulee, who was with the Herd from 2016-19, passed away in a single vehicle accident in Suffolk, Virginia, on Tuesday evening. Yulee was 24.

The national title defense for Marshall's men's soccer team will not be an easy one with several top-25 programs and NCAA Tournament teams on the docket, as evidenced by its 2021 schedule, which was released on Thursday.

Marshall football coach Charles Huff said he couldn't have been happier than in June when he and his staff were back in their element, evaluating players in person and hosting on-campus visits, which led to many commitments in the last 10 days.

The talents of Marshall offensive lineman Will Ulmer reach beyond the field and to the stage where he enjoys playing music. With new NIL legislation in place, Ulmer hopes to hit local stages soon to showcase his aspirations as a country singer.
