HUNTINGTON - The guy they call "Reese Cup" took a big bite out of Riviera Country Club on Monday morning.

Billy Rose, a 78-year-old local golfer, shot an even-par 70 on Monday to best his age by eight years.

Witnesses for Rose's round were David Dunn, Steve Dunn and Bill Meadows.

Hours later, Mike Fairburn matched his age at Riviera as well.

The 70-year-old golfer also shot an even-par 70 on Monday with Richard Minnix, George White and Mickey Johnson as witnesses.
